For next-generation AR-HUDs, Hardstone combines its proprietary automotive-grade LCoS optical engine with waveguide optics to deliver a 223-inch virtual image at a 20-meter VID within a compact 6L system.
At the core is Hardstone’s independently developed high-brightness LCoS optical engine. Working in synergy with waveguide optics, it optimizes the optical path and system architecture to achieve long-distance, large-format imaging within limited cockpit space, providing greater flexibility for different vehicle platforms.
Extending waveguide technology beyond the driver’s field of view, Hardstone’s next-generation Waveguide Light Field Display brings a new approach to immersive rear-seat entertainment.
The system delivers a 55-inch Full HD virtual display with a 7.5-meter VID in less than 1L. Compared with the previous-generation TFT solution, its volume has been reduced from 7L to under 1L, significantly freeing up cabin space.
Its long-distance virtual imaging creates a more natural viewing experience, helping ease the visual fatigue and motion discomfort associated with prolonged close-range viewing, while opening new possibilities for immersive in-vehicle entertainment.
Looking ahead, Hardstone will continue to advance proprietary optical technologies and expand the boundaries of intelligent cockpit displays, bringing more immersive and intelligent visual experiences to future mobility.
